Rob Stanko is the Senior Vice President of Operations for The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company (HWC), with over 30 years of experience in power line and substation construction and maintenance. In this position, he provides management and direction for all HWC construction and maintenance projects. Prior to Rob’s employment with The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company in September 2013, he held the position of Large Project Coordinator/Project Manager for Consumers Energy for their entire operating area. A Field Leader III for Transmission Lines Construction and Maintenance for the Eastern zone of Consumers Energy. A Crew Leader and Line Worker for the Transmission Line Department based out of Saginaw, Michigan. A member of the IBEW Local 876 working as a Line Foreman, Lineman, and Apprentice for multiple contractors and utilities across the state of Michigan, and a Substation Construction Technician working for multiple contractors on Consumers Energy property. Rob is a veteran of the U.S. Navy Construction Battalions (Sea Bee’s) specializing in concrete piers, foundations, and flatwork at multiple locations around the world. He attended Baker College pursing a degree in Business Management and Project Management. Rob also enjoys golfing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
