The Hydaker-Wheatlake Co. successfully installed a mid-span pole as part of the Capacitor Bank Program. Due to the close proximity, the 138 kV circuit was de-energized, isolated, tested, and grounded before work commenced. This project, which includes the installation of over 700 new Capacitor Banks and more than 500 Regulator Banks, is a key component of the ongoing smart grid enhancements.
